improvement in health care delivery.

The Association of Telehealth Service Providers (ATSP)

to be maintained by the Telemedicine Research Center. TIE

Center for Telemedicine, a leader in the field of telehealth,
has performed over 12,000 consultations since the program
was initiated in 1990. These consultations have been both
to patients in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as
well as to patients in rural areas and have been in such specialties
as orthopedics, general surgery, internal medicine, urology,
gastroenterology, neurology, psychology, pediatrics and psychiatry.
