Missouri Foundation for Health Holds Public Forum in Rolla

St. Louis -Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) is holding a free public forum in Rolla, on Wednesday, October 25, 6-8 pm, at The Centre's large meeting room, 1200 N. Holloway. The forum is co-sponsored by the Phelps County Community Partnership.

The forum is designed to gather information about the problem of the uninsured and underinsured in Rolla and the surrounding counties. Residents are encouraged to attend to discuss their health concerns and the unmet health needs in the area.

This is the last of nine forums being held across the state in 2006 in order to help MFH educate policymakers and the public regarding the significance of the lack of health insurance for thousands of Missourians.

The forum is free and open to the public, and refreshments are provided. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to MFH, at 314.345.5500 or toll-free 800.655.5560. Persons who need special accommodations may call that same number.

Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental funder of community health activities in the state. MFH is in its fifth year of grantmaking, having issued more than $175 million in grants and awards to date.
