Missouri Foundation for Health Holds Public Forum in Hayti

St. Louis -Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) is holding a free public forum in Hayti, MO, on Wednesday, June 14, 5:30-7:30 pm, at the Hayti Community Center, 600 East Washington.

The forum, which is co-sponsored by Pemiscot County Initiative Network, is designed to gather information about the problem of the uninsured and underinsured in Hayti and the surrounding counties. Area residents are encouraged to attend the forum to discuss health concerns and the unmet health needs in the bootheel.

This is the third of nine forums being held across the state in 2006, in order to help educate policymakers and the public regarding the significance of the lack of health insurance for thousands of Missourians.
The forum is free and open to the public. Refreshments are provided. Those wishing to attend should RSVP to MFH, at 314.345.5500 or toll-free 800.655.5560. Persons who need special accommodations may call that same number.

Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental funder of community health activities in the state. MFH is in its fourth year of grantmaking, having issued more than $167 million in grants and awards to date. It is dedicated to serving the uninsured, underinsured and underserved in 84 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis. For more information about MFH, visit www.mffh.org.
