MFH Informational Meeting Planned
for Lebanon
Organizations in and around Laclede County who
are interested in improving health care in their communities
should attend an upcoming meeting hosted by Missouri Foundation
for Health (MFH). Attendees can learn more about grant programs
available through MFH, as well as more about MFH.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April
24, 11 am 1:30 pm, Lebanon-Laclede County Library,
915 South Jefferson, in Lebanon.
The meeting is free and designed for nonprofits
focusing on community action, health care, community development,
and faith-based services, along with community service clubs
and other human service providers and community leaders.
Currently, MFH funds grants to address specific
health issues (tobacco usage, obesity, asthma, diabetes, dental
care, mental health/substance abuse, womens health)
and provide operations support.
To RSVP for this meeting, or for more information,
contact Craig Biehle at (800) 655-5560, or cbiehle@mffh.org.
Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental
funder of community health activities in Missouri. MFH is
in its sixth year of grantmaking, having issued more than
$270 million in grants and awards to date. It is dedicated
to serving the uninsured, underinsured and underserved in
84 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis.
