Foundation's 3rd Annual Health
Summit Examines
Primary Care Challenges in Rural, Small City Settings
St. Louis -Missouri
Foundation for Health's (MFH) 3rd annual Health Summit will
explore the challenges faced in rural areas and small cities
with providing primary health care.
The Summit, entitled "Primary Care Challenges: A Focus
on Rural and Small Cities," is April 6-7, 2006, at the
Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. The two-day conference
offers breakout sessions on a variety of health care topics,
including the importance of building networks and collaborations,
improving access and quality of care, and developing strategies
to attract health care providers.
Keynote speaker for the Health Summit is Forrest Calico, MD,
MPH, senior advisor for quality at the National Rural Health
Association, and author of "Quality Through Collaboration:
Planting the Seeds for Improving Rural Health Care."
The registration fee for the conference is $50, which covers
meals and materials. Lodging is not included, but special
discount rates are available to Health Summit attendees. Registration
space is limited, so early response is strongly suggested.
