To complement the Foundation's grantmaking
efforts and address health issues from a systemic perspective,
the MFH Board of Directors established the MFH Health Policy
Area in 2002. The Health Policy staff, under the guidance
of the Health Policy Committee, works to support the MFH Board,
staff, community members and the state legislators by providing
timely research on health-related issues of significance to
Missouri.
The MFH Health Policy agenda includes:
Universal Coverage
Community-Based Prevention
While working on these two agenda items,
MFH Health Policy work also remains focused on ethnicity,
race and place-based health disparities.
