Health Policy
To complement the Foundation's grantmaking efforts and address health issues from a systemic perspective, the MFH Board of Directors established the MFH Health Policy Area in 2002. The Health Policy staff, under the guidance of the Health Policy Committee, works to support the MFH Board, staff, community members and the state legislators by providing timely research on health-related issues of significance to Missouri.
MFH Health Policy agenda includes:
• Achieving Quality, Affordable Health Coverage for All Missourians
• Eliminating Health Disparities
• Community Prevention - Improving the State's Emergency Medical Care Services System

MISSOURI MEDICAID BASICS: 2010
An updated version of Missouri Medicaid Basics is now available. This report provides an overview of MO HealthNet and explains key programs, delivery systems, and eligibility requirements. The 2010 edition has a new section that examines how the federal health reform law impacts Medicaid. The report is available here.
MAKING THE BUSINESS CASE FOR HEALTH CARE REFORM
The St. Louis Business Journal hosted a breakfast forum on "Making the Business Case for Health Reform".The seminar featured MFH CEO and President, James Kimmey, MD, and MFH Policy Analysts, Ryan Barker and Thomas McAuliffe. The panelists discussed the business case for health reform and provided an update on federal health reform efforts and their potential impact in Missouri.
