Missouri Foundation for Health Adds Two Staff; Promotes Two
Nearly 40,000 fifth graders in 25 Missouri counties will participate in the program

Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) has recently hired two new employees and promoted two employees.
Kathleen Holmes, MPH, RN, has been hired as a program officer, and is responsible for reviewing and assessing grant proposals. Holmes joins MFH from Saint Louis University, where she was research coordinator for the school's Center for Cultural Cancer Communication Research. She's also worked with the parish nurse program at Alton Memorial Hospital. She holds a master of public health from Saint Louis University.
Promoted to the program officer position were Craig Biehle, MSW, and Alyse Sabina, MPH, both of whom have been with MFH since 2006 as program associates. Biehle works with grantees and oversee proposals from Missouri's Lake Ozark/Rolla region and is a graduate of Washington University. Sabina works with grantees and oversees proposals from the St. Louis metropolitan region. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ryan Weis has been hired as the foundation's Graphic Designer, and will focus on MFH's communications/graphics needs. He has previously worked as a graphic designer for BJC HealthCare and the Catholic Health Association. He's also the editor for the quarterly newsletter of the St. Louis chapter of the BMW Car Club of America. He has a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Kansas.
Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental funder of community health activities in Missouri. MFH is in its sixth year of grantmaking, having issued more than $270 million in grants and awards to date. It is dedicated to serving the uninsured, underinsured and underserved in 84 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis.
