MFH is seeking to fill the following one-year position:

Position: Coordinator, MoCAP II

Description: The Coordinator, MoCAP II coordinates the MFH support to state health agencies and organizations in preparing plans and applications required for implementation of PPACA. In addition, the Coordinator, MoCAP II will research the field and identify appropriate consultants and consultant organizations in each of the six activity area identified for state implementation activities, prepare RFPs  for consultant services, and assist in the selection process as well as monitor all executed contracts, participate in meetings and conferences, review progress reports and utilization of consultants.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in appropriate discipline or profession preferred plus three to five years professional experience in delivery or administration of health-related services in progressively responsible positions, preferably in non-profit or governmental organizational setting.  Must provide evidence of success in securing grant support from federal agencies in health or related areas.  Must be able to work on teams as well as independently.  Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be detail oriented and have the ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Up to 25% travel required.

Position: MoCap I Intern

Description

The Missouri Foundation for health (MFH) is now seeking a part-time, non-credit Fall 2010 intern /Research Assistant to work between 10-20 hours per week, between the hours of  7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., M-F.

The intern will be compensated at a rate of $10.00/hour and the internship begins in late August and runs through Mid-December of 2010. 

 The MoCap intern will conduct research, assist with the developing and monitoring of strategic methods, draft abstracts of federal funding program announcement and other documents, assist with the building and use of new databases, assist with reviewing survey data and identifying key learning, and track program’s outcomes.  


QualificationsSeeking a master degree in a health related discipline.   Must be organized, resourceful, maintain confidentiality, team and detailed oriented.  Must also have strong written and oral communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. formatting, creating tables, comfortable copying, moving files in and out of electronic folders)
