Application Period Open for 2009 Board Nominations

The Community Advisory Committee is accepting applications from individuals wanting to be considered for nomination to the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) Board of Directors through August 22. Successful candidates will begin their three-year terms in January 2009.

The 15-member board governs MFH's efforts to distribute $60 million annually to fund nonprofit organizations that help improve the health of the state's uninsured, underinsured and underserved residents. MFH, with $1.3 billion in assets, is the largest non-governmental funder of community health activities in Missouri, and is the second largest health care conversion foundation in the U.S.

Applicants must live within the MFH service region, which includes 84 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis. To view the MFH's service region, click on the link.
